Reduced weight 10.5 oz (296 g) complete with over tube, hardware & sling swivel (weight without buffer tube). Standard M-15 A2 stock weighs 14.3 oz (400g) (without buffer tube). Length of stock is 9.9" without butt pad. The butt pad adds 1/2" to the length.
The ARFX uses the receiver extension tube (NOT INCLUDED) as the top tube and comes complete with a firm closed-cell-foam-rubber "over-tube" to insulate your face from vibration and inclimate weather. This high quality, tough foam rubber over-tube is formulated to withstand cleaning solvents and gun oils, UV radiation (sunshine), freezing temperatures, salt water (sweat) and rough handling. Most importantly the over-tube provides a very comfortable cheek weld.
The ARFX is entirely machined and fabricated in the U.S.A. out of 6061-T6 heat treated aircraft grade aluminum. It is then oxide blasted, to obtain a matte finish, and then type 3 mil. Spec. hard anodized for durable finish. The ARFX is perhaps one of the toughest stocks ever produced for the M-15.
